On June 1 we reopened Move & Flow for a limited schedule of in-person classes. Please keep in mind that BC/Interior Health recommendations are constantly evolving and we may need to close again or adjust policies at any time. Keeping a consistent schedule is very important to us, but more than ever we need to prioritize everyone’s health and safety, so please continue to check emails and social media for the most up-to-date information. We will continue to provide online classes to ensure everyone has options if they are not comfortable attending in-studio classes at this time or are unable to reserve a spot due to our limited capacity. Although we are taking every recommended precaution, there is always a risk of contracting COVID-19 spending time in any public place with other people, and the decision to attend in-person classes is entirely up to you.
Monitor Your Health
We ask that you closely monitor your health and stay home if you are showing any possible symptoms of COVD-19 such as cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or fever in the last 48 hours. You are also asked to avoid the studio if you have knowingly come in contact with anyone known to have COVID-19 or if you have been out of the country in the last 14 days.
Online Reservation System
Please reserve classes online in advance to ensure we don’t exceed our social distancing capacity of 8. You can access our system online through the studio website moveandflow.ca or through the Mindbody App searching for “Move & Flow.” If you have trouble registering please contact us for assistance. This will be an adjustment for everyone and we are happy to help. Although our members with autopays may not need to worry about this, we ask that cash/cheque purchases be made with credit card online or through e-transfer to avoid unnecessary physical contact.
Do your best to only sign up for classes you are sure you will be able to attend and give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. To ensure everyone has a chance to register for classes we will not allow reservations more than 7 days in advance, and anyone who registers but does not attend class will be charged a $5 fee. We are not anticipating needing to limit how many visits per day/week a member can attend, but if this becomes a problem we will adjust our policies. If you need to cancel at the last minute due to health concerns, please contact us to have the fee waived.
Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before class begins and leave soon after class finishes to allow us time to sanitize the studio between each class. We ask that attendees enter one at a time, patiently waiting in cars or a socially distant line outside for their turn to enter, so that everyone can remain at least 2 meters apart. We will have alcohol-based hand sanitizer available for everyone to use when they enter and when they are leaving as well as alcohol-based surface cleaner for the washroom for you to use at your discretion. There will be a space for each person marked clearly on the floor, with each space 2 meters apart. Stay in your square as much as possible, and do your best to move away if someone is needing to walk by your square. If you need to go into the equipment room or washroom, wait until others have left the area to avoid crowding. Minimize use of the washroom when possible, and take any after-class conversations outside. Childminding will be temporarily cancelled and we ask that you do not bring any extra people into the studio with you who are not registered for class.
Jazzercise has asked that we do not allow any shared equipment to be used in classes, which means you will only be able to use equipment from home for classes. If you would like to rent a cubby to keep a set of weights in, that is also an option. Please contact us for more details.
Thank you for your time and attention. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or feedback. We look forward to seeing you in a class very soon!
